US 56 ends at Springer, NM. Get onto I-25 North for 3 miles to NM Hwy 58 west to Cimarron. Pick up US Hwy 64 west to Eagle Nest. Continue on Hwy 64 out of Eagle Nest - Angel Fire is 12 miles south of Eagle Nest.
From Kansas City its a 12 hour trip.
Alternate: Take the Amtrak from KC to Raton and rent a car in Raton. Drive to AF on US 64. Train ride is about 12 hours, then 2 more hours to Angel Fire from Raton. Check with Amtrak regarding prices: 800-872-7245
