INFORMATION FOR PLANNING WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS
IN AND AROUND ANGEL FIRE

  The following information has been compiled as a guide in making arrangements for your special occasion. Please contact the individuals and locations mentioned below for more specific information and availability. It is suggested, that if at all possible, you visit this area prior to making final arrangements.

  Angel Fire is in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico, so outdoor weddings are frequent and usually breathtaking. Weddings have taken place on the highest pinnacle of the ski slopes; in the canyon near the river and many places in between. Other suggestions would include the small intimate chapel at the Vietnam Veterans National Memorial State Park (575-377-6900); the Angel Fire Resort Hotel or Country Club (800-633-7463); Eagle Mountain Lodge north of Angel Fire (575-377-3682), any of the churches listed below, the Red River Conference Center in Red River (575-754-1708), Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort (about an hour's drive from Angel Fire - 575-587-2240), or any of the bed and breakfasts or  private homes and condominiums, which are listed on under accommodations on the Business Listings page, The Community Center (575-377-1544), and also the Angel Fire Resort Hotel (800-633-7463).

New Mexico, state law provides that any ordained minister, priest or judge from New Mexico can perform the ceremony and sign the marriage certificate. Marriage licenses can be applied for at any county clerks office in New Mexico at a cost of $25.00 - a photo ID with date of birth is required. This license is good for an indefinite time in any county in New Mexico. After the ceremony the license must be recorded at the county clerks office.
